Accommodations
Grand Cayman in February is BEAUTIFUL. As a result, rooms get booked early. We recommend you BOOK YOUR ROOM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you think there is a chance you will be attending the wedding.
We have made accommodation arrangements at the following location, located within 2 miles of where our wedding will be held:
Sunshine Suites Resort
We have a group rate with Sunshine Suites, which is very highly rated on Tripadvisor (“Best deal on Cayman”) AND provides some of the more affordable rates on the island. The rooms are based on availability. We do not have rooms blocked off, so please book soon.
ROOM TYPES
One Bedroom Suite- One king bed and pull out couch- Sleeps three people maximum. US$219.00 per night plus tax
Deluxe Suite- Two Queen beds- Sleeps four people maximum. US$211.00 per night plus tax
Studio Suite- One queen bed- Sleeps two people maximum. US$195.00 per night plus tax
These rates will be available 3 days prior and 3 days after 2/13/15 for a total of 7 nights. Their leisure rates would apply outside of those dates. Leisure rates are approximately US$30 more than the group rates per night.
GROUP BOOKING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Visit www.sunshinesuites.com or contact the reservations department at 1-877-786-1110 or email reservations@sunshinesuites.com
2. Enter your arrival and departure dates which must correspond with the contracted dates (FEB 10-17th 2015) that have been set for our group. Don’t forget to double check the year.
3. Enter the number of Adults.
4. Enter group Promotional Code (TODINS)
5. Click Check Availability.
Each suite includes a complimentary “Grab N Go” continental breakfast, wireless internet, free access to the World Gym and has a full kitchen. They also provide dive lockers and rinse tanks for any Divers. Rates are based on double occupancy. $20.00US will be added per ADULT after two adults. All rates are quoted in US dollars and do not include taxes unless otherwise specified. The 27% tax is broken down by 13% government tax, 10% service fees and 4% environmental fees.
To get to the hotel from the airport you can take a taxi. The rate is $24.00US for three people or less. You can also rent a car. If you are staying at Sunshine Suites, you can mention you are staying at Sunshine Suites for a special rate with Hertz Car Rental.
CANCELLATION/CHANGE POLICY
1 night room & tax if cancelled/changed inside 7 Days of arrival.
Cancellations or changes made after check-in are subject to a 100% charge.
General Hotel/Housing Options
There are many resorts, condos, and private house rentals on the island. If you prefer to book accommodations outside of our room block, feel free. However, we recommend you stay on or near SEVEN MILE BEACH during the wedding festivities. It’s a small island, but staying East of George Town could result in driving times of 30 minutes or more – that’s way too long of a commute to party! For those curious to check out Cayman’s by-owner rentals, airbnb.com and vrbo.com also offers some great options. Grouping up with some friends (or making some new ones at our wedding) can make VRBO’s rates very affordable.
